Optional Coverage
Property Insurance helps protect the physical items your group owns against direct physical damage, theft, or destruction. This coverage ensures you can repair or replace key assets used for your events, meetings, and activities.
Commonly Covered Items Include:
- Office and meeting equipment: laptops, printers, cameras, copiers, tables, chairs
- Event supplies, props, and signage
- Popcorn, snow cone, and coffee machines
- Merchandise and printed materials for sale
- Musical instruments, uniforms, and theatrical props
- Sports gear and storage containers
If your group owns the item and uses it in its operations, it’s likely eligible for coverage.
This is not an exhaustive list. Always review your full policy for specific terms, exclusions, and item eligibility.

Optional Coverage
Bonding Insurance provides protection against the loss of PTO, Booster Club, or Education Foundation funds due to dishonest or criminal acts committed by those entrusted with managing your money—including officers, volunteers, or committee members.
What’s Covered:
- Employee Dishonesty – Theft or fraud by your group’s officers, members, or volunteers
- Forgery or Alteration – Fraud involving checks or financial documents
- Theft, Disappearance & Destruction – Loss of money on or off the premises, including while stored in a private home or transported by a designated messenger
Bonding includes three separate layers of protection and covers anyone defined as an “employee,” including elected or appointed officers, committee chairs, and volunteer members acting on behalf of your group.
This is a summary of coverage. Please refer to your policy for full terms, definitions, and exclusions.
Tips to Help Safeguard Funds:
- Require two signatures on every check
- Don’t pre-sign blank checks
- Review bank statements monthly
- Keep documentation for all payments and deposits
- Perform regular audits, especially when leadership changes
- Never make checks out to “cash”
Bonding doesn’t replace good practices—but it’s essential protection for real-world risks.

Optional Coverage
Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability helps protect your leadership from legal claims related to governance, board decisions, and administrative responsibilities. This coverage fills a gap not included under General Liability, which does not cover management decisions or internal disputes.
What’s Covered
- Up to $1M per occurrence / $1M aggregate
- No deductible
- Covers the PTO, Booster Club, or Foundation as an entity, plus:
- Directors
- Officers
- Trustees
- Employees
- Volunteers
Coverage applies to direct physical damage.
This is not a full list—please refer to your policy for complete item eligibility.
Eligible Claims May Include
- Alleged Wrongful Acts or Mismanagement
- Errors or Omissions in decision-making
- Breach of Duty or Fiduciary responsibility
- Misleading Statements
- Employment-related claims (EPLI), such as wrongful termination or discrimination
This coverage does not apply to physical injury or property damage—that’s covered by General Liability. Always review your policy for full terms and exclusions.
